Pierced Ears

Rebecca has been asking me for a few months if she could get her ears pierced at Christmastime. It was fine with me. My rule is 8 years old and then they can get them pierced, make their own decision and be able to care for their ears themselves. Monday, Dec. 21 we went to Claires at the Mall. It was a crazy Christmas shopping day, and there was even a line for piercing. She was nervous, but determined. I was proud of her for being so brave. She said it hurt, and she sat there motionless, maybe in shock? for a few minutes. But didn't say anything. Maybe she was disappointed because she has to wear their 14K gold stud earrings for 6-8 months when she'd wanted to wear different ones. Here's the end result, and now on day 3 she is very excited to have them.
