Wanting to Adopt

Ed and I have decided we would like to adopt a baby boy. So now we are starting the process, so to speak, getting the word out to friends and family and anyone who can network to help us find a baby, maybe even a sibling group, or twins. Tonight I received a call from a law agency wanting some more information on us. So that really put it in our face. We were going to wait until we got back to MO to research more options, but this is exciting to think about.

So tonight we were all sitting around the table and we were discussing it with the children. I asked the kids what they thought if we adopted a baby boy. Rebecca says (in her pre-teen attitude), "I don't want another brother". To which Jon, almost teary eyed says "Well, I do!" To which Savannah consoles Jonathan, "Jesus is your brother Jon, Jesus is!" She was very empathetic, and open to it too.

It was so sweet and reminds us whose really in charge now, doesn't it. Out of the mouth of babes.
