Today was a great day! I got so much done! My craft/homeschool closet is coming along well, and I still have room to fill! We moved a bookcase over and my books are more organized now, and I have room to add! The computer guy is coming over tomorrow. We are switching from DSL to cable. DSL drives me nuts. It's slow and eratic. Nothing interrupts the cable. I already feel so much more organized, like I can breathe easier as things are s l o w l y coming together. It's a process.
We got some school in, which is good, of course. I found a Math CD rom by Reader Rabbit and they LOVE it! Hey as long as they are doing some math, I'm good. Now that I'm more organized, next week should be a much better routine/schedule week. Time fills up fast in this homeschool group, though. Field trips every other week, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Music/art groups, Co-op, and anything else in between; like library activities, Runge conservation activities(we haven't done any of those yet), YMCA activities (none of those yet either). Thinking about Tae kwon Do and Hip Hop Dance, which we did in GA. Always thinking about something with school.
It's a bit hard coming back home because we've had so many changes in less then a year. Moving, then moving again, and then again. Being in school and then out, and then coming back and staying out. I know it's a little bit of a struggle for the kids and I'm praying for their friendships to grow. And even to make new friends! Jon's got 13 boys in his co-op class, so I'm REALLY excited for him. He needs some friends. Rebecca has always made friends easily. So far she has a lot of friends, but they are either a year or two younger, or older. It'd be nice for her to be with some right on the same page with her.
The dog started dog-training school today, with Jon as his handler. And he actually comes, and sits! After 1 training lesson! He is not peeing in his crate or in the house, so things are looking up! And we really like our dog. He's really soft, and a low low shedding dog (for Jon's allergy sake). I definitely think a small dog is the way to go if you want the dog inside at all. When you do take it out, it can be in the yard because it's small, running shorter distances really works it more then it would a bigger dog, it's easy to wash in the sink, it's messes are small, it chews things that are smaller, like crayons, and you can take it places (though, Ed said it threw up on the way to the school tonight). If we had a bigger dog, I'd say, let's move to the country...oh wait. I'm saying that anyway. (ok, not really, cause I really am coming to really like my house). If we could just break him of his poop eating habit. I mean, that's just gross. On the upside, hardly any poop to clean up outside. Still, it's just gross. I hear that's common for breeded/kennel dogs because they don't have toys much to play with, they find something else! Gross. Did I mention that grosses me out? Yuck.
And Ed got home early from work today! That's always SUPER nice. And maybe we will get uninterrupted sleep tonight. That is always dreamy.
