Determined to make my goal

One thing about me...I'm a goal-setter, goal-getter, competetive, have high expectations of myself.  If I make a goal I will try my darndest to make it.  Hence, my goals are serious to me, and I have the drive not to fail, and I don't commit unless it's something I really want, and this applies to all aspects of my life.  That doesn't mean the end results happen immediately, but I keep them in sight/mind.

So, here's to the 40 bag purge.  I'm not there yet, but made substantial progress today!  Keeping the goal in sight.  Our basement is FINALLY put back together and boy does it feel soooo good.  The wall was re-drywalled, the drain and sump pump put in, the carpet relaid.  And the pump works, by the way.  With all the rain we have been getting, it has been coming on and the water surging out the drain outside.  So nice to have a dry basement again.

So, we've been able to go through all the stuff we had in our storage room and got rid of at least 4-5 bags of stuff.  Went through some closets, got rid of more stuff.  I now actually have a huge shelving unit that holds 1500lbs for all my food storage!  Hit the garage somewhat.... Anyway, ended up with a truckload of boxes, bags, good will, totes.  300 pounds of stuff to the dump, and the rest given away to appreciative souls.  So I figure I'm up to at least 30 bags now (Ed thinks more, but I'll over-reach it just to make sure definitely get all 40, no slackin...eventually).  It sure does feel like a huge burden has been lifted.  But I'm not done yet.  Still have cupboards and some closets, a shed outside....But I will reach my 40 bags, hopefully in the next month.
