Today we planned our summer. It's gonna be fun. It's been raining, raining and raining and hard to think about summer when it's in the 50's and raining for a couple weeks. We're thinking of planting rice in our backyard; it's got a good chance of growing.
You get hints of summer, but where is it? Well, I've had this feeling, it's right around the corner. Looking at the forecast it's more rain tonight and thunderstorms tomorrow. BUT, in the high 80s and up to 90 after the weekend! Woo-hoo! Maybe the kids will be able to dip in that pool we put up 2 months ago at Easter when it was warm!
As we get a bit antsy, and before we knew the forecast for next week, we reserved a campsite at a lake. We are camping Memorial Day weekend! A favorite pasttime for many folk, but one we've never ventured to do. But we love to camp! We are soo excited! And I mean, every one. We didn't go with the baby last year. We did that once and the baby kept the campsite awake. But with the campsite that full, someone's bound to be noisy anyway, just not us...well, I guess it could be us. You never know. And by camping, I mean, our great big double tent with closets and air mattresses, of course, because who can actually brave the ground, or rain if it happens (please no!!) but it won't be so hot we have to plug in our window unit air conditioner ; ) And we'll have batteries for the dvd player. Camping! Fun.
BTW, we invite anyone we know to join us!
And for the rest of the summer, lots of trips to the lake. Different lakes, during the week jaunts to the lake, birthdays at the lake, ahhhh. Nothing as relaxing as being by water.

I so know what you mean Nothing makes me happer then the boat and the lake that is my piece of Heaven I could do it every day all day and never ever get tired of it.
