Today was a fun day. Sundays are good for us right now. Church doesn't start until 12:30pm so we have all morning to relax and eat breakfast, chill out, do whatever. Then of course, we are always late to church. I think it's the timing of lunch and when to get ready for church thing. Every week we try to be a bit better, but today was worse. Oh well. We still made it almost on time.
After church we wanted to decorate our gingerbread house. We open it up and lo and behold! It's already made! We bought a premade one, all we had to do was decorate it. Well that didn't take long, and lots of candy later, Savannah was still tryin to sneak candy off. Then Rebecca wanted to put on make-up. Ok, I said (this has never happened before). She wanted to know what everything was, eye shadow, liner, mascara. I let her do eye shadow and mascara. Now she wants to wear it every day because she says it makes her look prettier, and she thinks she is prettier without her glasses! Oh my. She is making some changes. I'm gearin up for this. And she is getting her ears pierced this Christmas. She's really excited about that. I'm just watching, thinking, watching.
Bella is also in a transitional period. She is throwing herself down and throwing fits! Is she supposed to be doing this already? She just turned 1! And she doesn't want to go to bed until Rebecca is in there with her (they share a room). Hmmm.
After the Gingerbread house, Ed did science experiments with Rebecca, and of course Jon and Savannah thought it was so cool to see the baking soda/citric acid solution fizz and bubble over. It makes me so happy and filled with joy when I watch my husband with our children like that. It works out well too because his strengths (math and science) are my weaknesses, and my strengths (Language and writing) are his weaknesses. Nice combo. If one of us were strong in the budget department we'd be doing great!
