Exercise

The one thing constant in my life is exercise. Sometimes I get stronger and leaner, sometimes I overeat and don't move in my weight. My whole life I've been overweight. However, my best body happened after Rebecca was born. Ed and I did a "Body for Life" challenge. We will always remember it as our fittest bodies/life yet. We want to go back there, 4 kids, 7 years later. HaHaHa! Well, whatever has happened, through 3 kids, 2 army activations and 4 moves later, the one constant for me has always been exercise. I admit I've gone against what I know better in healthy eating at times, but exercise and I really like each other. It is my drug of choice, and essential to my well-being emotionally, physically, mentally. So we are always doing and trying new things to change up our work outs.
We started spin in Sept and fell in LOVE with it. It's so addicting! It's so easy on your joints! And it really works your muscles! But you only work as hard as you want because guess what? You're in control of the dial. And it's great to get your biking muscles warm and running. Speaking of running...I think it is the best thing for the quickest weight loss. Hands down. It is the hardest, though, and toughest on your joints. I love to run! I love the way it makes me feel in my muscles and lungs. I haven't run in a few weeks and I miss it.
Right now we are mixing spin up with P90X! Boy and what a workout. We thought, hey we're going to GA for 3 months, let's do P90X! Well, we did 3 days of week 1, 2, 3 and extended it to 4. We were supposed to change the workout this week but hung on another week trying to make it the full 6 days. Nope. Just got in 3 X workouts, and 2 spins. But the x workouts we did this week were different from last week (even though we were supposed to do all of them each week). This week we will start a new week with all new workouts. In P90X he changes up the workouts to keep you in muscle confusion. That gets the best results. However, I am definitely stronger! And that's cool. My goal is to one day do a pull-up. Maybe even 2. Will have to lose a bit more weight first. Ed, however, is doing awesome. He's not losing weight, but he's lost a ton of fat and his clothes are falling off. Awesome.
