There's no place like home

Being in Georgia has been FABULOUS! Jonathan says he wants to come back in July for his birthday. The winter has been so mild compared to what we're used to. We've been on so many field trips and gone new places. Homeschooling has been a hit. It's just been a fun journey. But after 2 months we were really ready to go home, so this last month, we are REALLY ready to go home. Everytime we visit somewhere new and leave we think "Wouldn't it be nice to be going home for real!" Just knowing we get to go to Disneyworld soon makes it bearable.

We have a week left, so today I started packing. OH MY GOODNESS!! I had to buy boxes! I knew we would grow, but didn't expect this much! We were packed to the hilt coming, so now we have to rent a trailer to get home. Oh well. We kind of expected that because that's what we had to do last time. I guess I shouldn't be quite that shocked because I have bought a LOT of books (which I'll blame on homeschooling). I brought a box of books with me, terrified to homeschool and wanting some things available to me "just in case" and am leaving with 7! Ok, so I collect books. Then there's the stuff from Christmas, and other stuff just because. So the packing is giving me a headache...or is it that new diet I'm trying? Probably a combo.

I'll be so glad to get home. We just moved in May to a new to us house, and then moved to GA mid Oct, and now mid Feb we go back. I'm tired of moving and dreaming of decorating my house! And creating those fun kid rooms I haven't had a chance to do yet! (Oh yeah, and quilting too). And rearranging my furniture and trying to figure out how our space will best work for us, especially since we're going to be homeschooling now. Rebecca and I are thinking about it a lot. She's drawn out her room with colors and furniture that she wants...she's ready for her own space. And Jon is crazy crazy about trains. And the little girls like fairies. And maybe mom will get bedroom furniture...maybe. All these things I've been thinking. And Ed is so ready to get back to his real job. He misses everyone he works with and the fact that they actually get some work done. And he won't have to get up at 5am anymore.

"There's no place like home, there's no place like home, there's no place like home" (except let's go to Disneyworld first! That's what keeps us going).
