potty training puppy

I wanted to get a dog, and I don't regret it. I really like him, little shih poo, "Sammy". He's really good. Loves the kids. He's not so big he can't hurt anyone, unless Bella's laying down, but even she does good with him. He's so soft, and he hardly barks unless he thinks we're in trouble and he can't tell what's happening (he heard but couldn't see Ed in the closet). But the dog stinks. I was told if you give too many baths their skin oil works overtime and can make them smell worse...whoops. Then the potty training thing. Finally was found out tonight how to do the crate training thing. I've just never potty trained a dog before. It's a bit of a pain, but really it's nice to have an excuse to go outside even if it is FREEZING!! One of these days I'll post a pic, but we are still moving back in and things are so chaotic and lost in piles everywhere, I don't know where what computer chords are. But he is cute, soft and cuddly, and most importantly, I don't mind having him around...yet.
