Freedom

I looked at my calendar today.  Summer has been so fun and filled with friends and family!  We have gotten to know so many great people and have done so many fun things I feel so blessed and am so grateful!  Then I look at my calendar today.  We have fun things planned this week, but a bit of a breather from play that we can actually do some "school" for the next couple weeks before we go out of town again. 

As I looked at the calendar, of course I'm looking at Ed's work schedule.  He is usually off one day a week and most weekends.  During the summer when he is home we try to do as many summer things as possible i.e. swim, boat.  It's a bit shocking to see a limited number of days before it starts to cool off i.e. end of Sept.  I won't even go into Hobby Lobby because I know they are already setting up for Fall...blah!  So, trying to make the most out of the summer weather, I'm shocked and saddened because public school starts Aug. 17.  Then I'm completely elated and feeling liberated because I am no longer a SLAVE to the public school system!!!  It is soooo great to have freedom!  Just because other families cater to the slavery of public school, we get to enjoy summer for a whole other month and a half!  I love it!  It's a great feeling getting to do what you want to do when you want to do it.
