I love it when I read a book that makes me
1. need to read a little slower to understand (you can't skim or you miss something) and
2. ponder the next few days about the moral of the story.
Some books you just read for entertainment and fun. Others make you pause and think. I can think of a few that I've read in the last couple of years that have left an impression.
Pride and Prejudice (but that's why classics are classics, right? You have to read a little slower, and there's a strong moral to the story.

I just finished reading "The Help" by Kathryn Stockett.
It took me to an era I didn't live in, and was never taught much about.
It opened my eyes to life today and how we got to where we are.
It also helped me to have a much greater appreciation for life in the south during the civil rights movement and the different backgrounds we all come from.
Hats off Kathryn Stockett for a job well-done.

I am excited to read the help. I just finished the maze runner which reminded me of the hunger games which I love. Happy reading.
