MMO

Last night we went on a much needed date (they are all much needed; it's nice to get some adult time) to a work party and it was sooo fun!  I met some of the new people and got to know some of the wives a little bit better.  Ed really likes his job.  I'm really happy for him.  We've always tossed around the idea of moving here and there, kind of nomadic, the joys of travelling.  But he really likes his job, and that's really important!  So now our stay here is evolving into a permanency thing (at least attitude, because you really never know what the future holds).

In the meantime, I'm loving our homeschool group.  I've met so many great people, and my children are making friends with GOOD KIDS who have great parents!  So, where Ed is happy at work, mom and the kids are finding joy in their community.

Our homeschool group has started a Mom's Morning Out one Saturday morning a month at Panera Bread.  I've gone a few times and it's always so great!  It's so nice having that support system of good women that have similar goals as you do.  In fact, I think it is detrimental.  It is a big, big deal.  At least for me.  I'm sure there are moms who don't need so much social time, but I love any time I get to socialize with such great mothers.  One thing I've learned homeschooling, that I didn't expect, was not socialization necessary for kids, but for me!  I feel like I've made so many great, new friends and that makes me so happy.  And to be friends with a seasoned homeschooler is so great because they've been where you are and have all kinds of ideas/advice, etc.  :)
