New Year!

I've been thinking about New Year's resolutions for a month now.  My gift to Jesus this year is to be more fiscally responsible.  So far, so good ;)  We had such a splendid holiday.  It lasted 3 weeks.  I now understand why so many homeschoolers take the month of December off.  There are so many fun things to do, and it's so hard to concentrate.  It's like Spring fever, only it's Christmas fever.

We studied half of the 12 days of Christmas, and gave up on the rest mid way through December.
We went to Branson and got all Christmased up looking at lights, and Santa.

We watched Savannah's dance recital.

We made gingerbread houses.

We had a blessed, fun and white Christmas!

Forget the toys, let's play in the snow!

The next day we had a great Duree Family Christmas party.  The kids made gingerbread trees; we sang carols; we had a little talent/share time; Grandma read the grandkids a Christmas book (her tradition); we ate lots of good food :) and loved the good company!

This is one of my favorite pics!  The men.

Grammy Horton!  We were so blessed to have her with us this year for Christmas!

Bella sportin' her new "Christmas Sweater" from Grandma's Christmas read this year, "The Christmas Sweater" by Glenn Beck

We ushered in the New Year with family and friends, and had so much fun we think we will do it again!
