Back to the blog

After an amazing summer of vacations, it's back to the blog. I'd had mixed feelings about blogging, but, here I go again. Our summer, as usual, was spent as much time at a lake as possible. Ed amazingly had a lot of vacation and so that's where we spent a lot of time...that and Branson. We love having Silver Dollar City passes. It's a good fit for our family.

We started "school", mostly just adding math and more writing to the books we were reading, in Sept. We have a pretty good flow now, here, towards the end of Oct. Becca is pretty much a reader and has gotten much more independent in everything she does. It's nice for me because I have more time to spend with Savannah and reading. Jon is also pretty independent, but needs me every once in awhile. School is good, though.

Ed still loves his job, so that's great. Makes us feel much more permanent, even though we've been here six years now. Every once in awhile I get an itch to go somewhere new, but trying to be content and let a good thing continue to be good. We have lots of friends and things are good and stable, for now.

In church we are teaching the "Strengthening Marriage and Family" class. We joke that we got along great until we started teaching it ;) This third time around, our spirituality is increasing, and our desire to serve the Lord is growing.
