This year we took two weeks for spring break. We didn't mean to take two weeks, it just sort of ended up that we took one, and it took another to recover.
We went to TX to visit Ed's family and cousins! We went to the Fort Worth Stockyards. The kids practiced riding a bull (wink wink)
Jon rode too, he was just soo hilarious I video taped the whole thing before I got a pic.
And saw up close and personal a cattle drive. We were detained as we were parked in the way of the cattle drive
We also went to the Dallas Aquarium, which also exhibited many different kinds of birds, monkeys and jaguars.
Lastly, we walked the Botanical Gardens.
After we left Texas, we took Ed's mom with us to our favorite place, Silver Dollar City. We rode rides, of course, won some stuffed animals, and swam lots at our hotel. Ed rented a fishing boat and took his mom and Jon on a ride on the Taneycomo trout fishing.
We took Grammy to the airport on Monday. Afterwards we played with some other cousins at a Playtime Place (like Chuck E Cheese) and did Cub Scouts.
Tuesday we did art at an art studio, and that afternoon went to coop, that evening to dance.
Wed. we had piano lessons, which went well, and church activities at night.
Thurs the Freedom Clubs met for their Memory Recital. The three oldest children recited something. Savannah did a Mother Goose rhyme, Jon a poem, and Rebecca Dr. Seuss's "To Think I Saw it On Mulberry St."
It's been a couple of busy weeks. My goal this week is to not be busy. Uh-huh.
