Time Management

Ugh.  My problem today is: how do I school all these kids!?  We were doing 7-8:30, 9:30-12, 1:30-2:30 (if necessary after lunch).  But for the last week I've been saying by 9am (because we've been getting to bed later) and we have "Kidschool" for sure by 9, which is group science or history for an hour, a story on character and a poem.  After which they did journal, grammar, handwriting, critical thinking, math, piano....and wouldn't you know it, a beautiful day, took 2.5 hours off after lunch and got back at 2:30 and didn't finish it all.  *frustrated*.  I must be doing something wrong.  I read a blog that 2-4 grades should have 1.5-2 hours, 5-6 2-4 and over 7th 5+ hours.  Really?  Because we didn't get to reading or "writing" and we still have tae kwon do.  I'm tired and it's after 4pm.  #feelingguilty#

So, I've got to figure out what I'm doing wrong, and what should be counted as 2 subjects.  This is too much stuff.  Part of it is that each child needs individual attention on something, usually language arts.  AND, this wasn't much "fun school" today.

Time to tweak it.  Again.
