Uncle Joe's funeral

My Uncle Joe passed away this week.  It was heart wrenching for my dad to lose this brother whom he was close to.  Uncle Joe had a weak heart for the last 20 years.  He was put on a heart transplant list a few months ago.  We got to see them in Branson in June with the Duree family.  Ed got to go fishing with him.  I was glad we'd had these last memories this year.

Funerals are events that bring families together.  I'm grateful for the knowledge I have of the gospel of Jesus Christ.  I'm grateful to know that life goes on after this life and that we return to loved ones beyond the veil of what human eyes can show us.  I know that the Lord loves us and that through the atonement of Jesus Christ we can return to live with our Heavenly Father again.  Joe was a great man who loved the Lord and his family.  He was kind and had a witty sense of humor.  We love you Uncle Joe!
